About MNIT 

Malaviya National Institute of Technology is one of the premier NITs of India, fully funded by Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. The Institute was established in 1963 as a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan, with the name as Malaviya Regional Engineering College, Jaipur. Its campus spreads over 325 acres of area in the central location of Jaipur city. The institute was given the status of a National Institute of Technology and Deemed University on June 26, 2002, and proclaimed the Institute of National Importance through Act of Parliament on August 15, 2007. The Institute offers undergraduate and post graduate (B.Tech., B.Arch., M.Tech., M. Plan., M.Sc., MBA and PhD) programmes to about 4500 students in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Management and Sciences.

About SMRS 

The Soft Materials Research Society (SMRS) is an interdisciplinary society dedicated to the field of soft materials to draw a roadmap for futuristic studies in this important discipline that amalgamates different facets of physics, chemistry, biology and engineering. The Society is committed to stimulate and integrate research in the field of soft materials for rapid industrial progress in the country.
It was formed during ICSM 2014 with a view to provide a forum for stimulating research and disseminating information on soft materials and promote soft materials not only to researchers in India, but also to publicise the niche capabilities of local researchers throughout Asia and further a field. So far the major activity of SMRS’s were organizing biannual events - the International Conference on Soft Materials (ICSM) in 2014/2016/2018 and National Conference on Nanomaterials in Biology (NCNB) in 2019.
As the Society matures it plans to expand its activities through: organization of smaller, specialist conferences/seminars/workshops.
